House Rules
This is our family house and it holds a lot of memories. When we renovated the house in 2021, we aimed for a place that made it possible for the house itself to adapt to modern times, and for the younger generations to add memorable moments to the history of it.
We hope that you will respect that this is a family house and treat it with care and caution. We know that accidents can happen, and have insurance to cover most issues. We also trust you to have your own insurance too ...in the unlikely event of a major incident.
House rules
No smoking. There's a dedicated smoking area outside the entrance door.
No shoes past the hall. Wooden floors scratch easily, but have so many other qualities that outweighs it. Borrow slippers/wool socks if you’re feet are cold.
It's a quiet family area, so have fun, but no wild parties or loud music. Most people will appreciate a quiet neighbourhood after 23.00 and before 8.00.
Some things are marked as private and should be respected. The attic and the basement is not allowed to enter.
If you break or damage anything of value, we will have to charge you for mending or replacing it. Make sure you travel with a valid insurance.
Let us know immediately if there's a problem with the house! We’ll help you out as soon as possible. If the dishwasher is leaking, the drain is clogged or the dryer is fuming, we need to know it immediately to prevent further damage to the property.
Got kids?
This place is a paradise for our own children, and they too want to share their toys with other kids that might be visiting. Please don't take anything with you when you leave, but use what you want when you're here. The playroom is there to be used and the toys to be played with. Have fun!
We have two cribs available, two kids chairs and a baby stool. For the tiny ones we have a changing mat and a small baby bath tub under the counter in the laundry room. Let us know if you need anything else.
We love kids, and know that even the cutest little ones come with extra attention, additional cleaning and sometimes extra costs. If you think there might be blueberry jam all over the rug in the dining room we appreciate if you could remove the rug or put a cover on the sofa ...before the incident takes place. Let us know if we should prepare this for you.
Same with curious little hands. Please secure the area for easy to break objects before the kids roam free. No eating in the sofa etc. Stains in the sofa or the rugs, will have to be charged according to the cost of cleaning.
If you travel with kids and it’s not your first time, we trust that you've got this!
There's snow sledges and toys for the outside in the garage and board games and arts&crafts supplies for rainy days. In summer, there's fruit and berries in the garden that you're free to pick.
